Shade AI works on an as-is basis. What does that mean? That means that you explicitly choose the folders that you want to AI index. This helps keep your search index clean and makes sure you know what you're indexing so you can make sure you don't lose any assets. However, all assets are full-text searchable, which means that you can search assets by name no matter if it's AI indexed.
To AI index a folder simply right click a folder and hit "AI index folder". If you do want to index all folders in a drive, you can AI index the entire drive. This will sometimes take a little while. You can check your indexing status in the bottom left of the app.
